Tooth InjuriesAbstract
The trauma of the deciduous dentition can cause physical, emotional and psychological impact to children of any age, however, many end up not attributing the proper importance. Considering that at 2 years of age the permanent tooth is already forming, the first aspect that should be relevant is the impact it can cause on the permanent tooth. Children test their limits, and many times they may suffer traumas that are difficult to prevent, but there are some precautions that we can take to avoid these traumas. This work highlights the importance of trauma in the deciduous dentition to clarify doubts regarding the different sequelae and their treatments, based on testimonials from professionals present at the 17th Congress of the Latin American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and 6th Congress of APO, 2014. To evaluate the treatment and the sequelae in the permanent tooth, the type of trauma should be evaluated, the child's age, clinical and radiographic evaluation, and finally follow-up until the eruption of the permanent tooth.
